The IEC 309 HP range of plugs and socket-outlets, which includes this Gewiss 3 pin straight plug, complies with international standards IEC 60309-1 and IEC 60309-2, adopted at the European level as EN 60309-1 and EN 60309-2. Mobile plugs, mobile and recessed sockets for currents from 16 to 125A with various protection ratings are part of this range, ensuring total protection in different applications.
With an impressive IP66/IP67/IP68/IP69 degree of protection, the 63 amp straight plug can withstand dust ingress, powerful water jets, and temporary or prolonged immersion in water. This makes the plug suitable for use in demanding environments, both indoors and outdoors. The straight plug also boasts an IK09 rating, making it highly resistant to impact and mechanical stress, ideal for industrial and commercial settings where rough handling or accidental impact may occur.
High-quality technopolymers of adequate thickness are used for the insulating parts of the plug, ensuring excellent resistance to mechanical stress and chemical agents. To protect against corrosion, oxidation, and abrasion, the sleeves and pins of the IEC 309 HP socket outlets and plugs are surface-treated with nickel plating. Stainless steel is used for the external metallic elements, while the threaded metallic inserts for the body-grip coupling of the 63-125A versions are made of brass.
This 3 pin outdoor plug has a rated current of 63A, a rated voltage of 200-250V, and a frequency of 50/60Hz. It features 2P+E poles and a 6h earthing contact position. The plug is blue in colour and is suitable for 6-16mm² flexible cables and 6-25mm² rigid cables. It has a cable clamp tightening capacity of 16.1-37 mm and an operating temperature range of -25 to +55°C.
